Filipino American Population in Sacramento

Almost 1.5 million Filipinos live in California, or approximately 26.5% of the state's Asian population. Filipino Americans are the largest Asian American ethnic group in the state. In the greater Sacramento region, Filipino Americans number at approximately 74,000, having grown 85% from 2000-2010.

Despite the growth and active Filipino American social, political and civic life in the region, the community has no “home away from home” that it can call the heart of the community.
